Sometimes I feel like a failure? I feel like that when I don't get my comic pages finished on time. But, maybe I'm not really much of a failure, cause the time that I didn't spend drawing was spent with my daughter and hubby. Heh, sledding out in the snow and just watching my daughter laugh and be silly....no, that wasn't wasted time.

I'll get the next comic pages finished soon. I hate to let readers down. My apologies. Heh, I'm waiting for the day that I can drop down to part-time or quit my job completely.... but atm, working is a necessity to pay the bills. I need to try winning the lottery, so I can pay off my house XD

I have art that needs to get finished. I missed the NSK COM, Robi-mun...I have art for you, it's just not finished : P I'll get it to you soon. And Kaed, I've not forgotten your comic sketch. Hmmmm... I have a couple of emails to respond to as well.

Welp... another Monday. I can't wait till Friday.

It's been so busy for me lately. I've been overhauling my website. The home page has a new look. I need to move the POECATCOMIX down a bit. The SFA and NS pages may get a new look too. Not sure, I always hate changing something that already works XD

Anyways. We took the kiddo to the doc on Friday. She's got strep throat. So, she's bee cooped up in the house all weekend. She was disappointed, cause she wanted to go sledding. But I refuse to let her go out. Unless it's in the car and up to my moms. Yesterday, at my mom's, I spent 3 hours cleaning up an old Barbie Doll house, that had been shoved back into my parents attic....it had been there for...10 or 15 years. I'm not sure when my sister shoved it back there. LOL... It was a horrible mess. But Cass sat patiently, watching me clean every nook and cranny of that Barbie house.

While looking in the attic, I found some of sister's old artwork. Why didn't she keep drawing? Man, we could had been and awesome team. But, she wanted to be a lawyer. Heh, guess you have to follow your dreams.

I found an old Ghost Buster poster puzzle in there too. Muah-ha! I'm going to have to take up the dinning room table and build that thing. I remember, we used to love puzzles.

Mmmm... nothing else has really been going on. Other then me trying to keep on track with art and commissions

I am going to start remodeling the Poecatcomix site! So, I am thinking of how to make this site better and get rid of things that may not be needed. I think that might go is the forums? Maybe? There is only like a handful of people that pop in every now and then. I even forget to pop in there as well.

Are the forums really needed? Or should I start them over from scratch?

The Comic Press pages that hold Nightshift and Starfire Agency. Are you all pleased with those pages? I was only going to change the color scheme there and fix up some of those widgets and head banners differently.

YAY! The Holidays are over with! Well, there is New Years, but we don't really do anything special for it, other then watching the ball drop on TV.

My Christmas was good. I got some sweaters, a pair of awesome leather boots (That I will wear to death XD), and monies to buy art supplies/paying for AC table (That I really needed). Cass, as always, made out like a bandit. She got the play kitchen from us. Her mamaw got all the pots n pans etc, while her nanny got her clothes and movies. And from the rest of the family, other toys and such ^_^

I don't know what it is.... but I am extremely hyped already about going to Anthrocon. I KNOW... it is very early to start getting hyped about that XD I think I'm excited, cause this year Jeff is actually sorta looking forward to it and supportive. Usually he's kinda, grump, grump, whiney....which I always tell him that he can keep his grumpy butt at home and I go alone, but, he's afraid of me going alone. (FYI, I'm a nervous driver on crowded roads.) This year, I'm going to make sure and offer doing con badges and may even offer doing them soon, so I can hand them out at the con. I've been trying to think of a theme that people might be interested in. I thought maybe Steam Punk, 80's or maybe a Cavemanish theme...lol... since the theme for AC is Prehistoric stuffs.

The comics... Nightshift and Starfire Agency will be finished tonight. I think you Starfire fans will really enjoy this next page. LOL... At least I think you will. XD

Work.... Busy, busy, busy.... that's where I'm at XD Everything is pushed ahead for printing purposes and stuffs, so everyone can get Christmas. The most wonderful thing about working for a newspaper. Holiday vacations usually suck when they fall on certain days. I only get Friday off for Christmas. Boo. Oh well, at least I get to go home every night this week at 5 pm.... instead of my extended time schedule on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Holy Moley... I got the comics up this Monday. Whoot. I swear I say I'm going to get better at posting all the time.. I hope I can... things just always seem to happen. My commissions. I wrapped up a couple this weekend. Though they need some tweaking tonight. So YAY on that.

Winter snow storm this weekend. It was SO beautiful... The trees were covered with the white awesomeness. Kiddo and I went out and walked down the road enjoying the pretty snow, then once we got my back to our house, we built ourselves a giant snowman and then we got into a snowball fight, cause Cass said we had too ^_^

We have our Christmas Shopping finished. Though I still have to put together the Play Kitchen we bought Cass...omg, I've never seen so many pieces in my life. @_@ So LOL.. wish me luck on that!

I had company this last weekend and so, I got a bit behind on my to do list. Eh, It happens <:3 Right? LOL.. A couple friends came down and we drew all night. Muah-ha! I never get to draw with others, nor do I have anyone in this area that has anything in common, art wise with me. So, it was very nice. And totally nice of my hubby to take a night with kiddo and stay the night at his mom's, to give us an all day and night art jam.

We plotted more on the Wicked project, which I'll be posting some pics of the characters up soon on the art galleries... hrmmmms... other art. I need to work on more Cage and Travis pics... WHEE! I also thought about doing some Hare Force Pinups.

Speaking of Hareforce... I did take that comic site down from my website. I cannot juggle my 3 comics and other misc art / commissions at the same time. Also, I'm going to be doing an overhaul on my site sometime in January.... so like... be prepared if things go crazy? XD

The power was out when I got home last night. Crappolla. I got out our propane camping lantern and placed it on the table, put Cass and myself in some super warm PJ's, then the both of us sat at the table and drew. I got some stuff done, but not all that I wanted, Cause Cass was getting a bit restless after a while.

We made sandwiches and made a warm basket bed for the new stray kitty that has showed up on our back porch. She's a pretty kitty, she's grey with a white belly, white paws and chin and stripe of white that runs through her eye. LOL. she's cute. I let Cass name her. And she chose to call her Allie. I lifted her for the first time last night (Cause she's been skiddish, but now that she sees we are feeding her, she's more friendly) I think she's pregnant with kittens...her belly was tight and big, which could be where we were feeding her....but her kitty boobs XD were sticking out. Soooo, either she has had kittens or she's gonna have them. I don't know what we're going to do if she has a litter of kittens @_@. Saber, our indoor cat, already has made it clear that she hates Allie.

Anyways. We drew some more after that, finally Jeff got home and a bit of conversation... at 9:30pm, the thermastat said it was 58 degrees in the house, we packed our stuff up and went to Jeff's mom's to stay for the night. We called our house when we woke this morning and our answering machine kicked on, so that means we DO have power for when we get home tonight XD YAY!

I was almost afraid it might be like it was last year. We didn't have power for two weeks. We are SO going to have to look into some sort of alternative heat to put in the house. We have a fireplace, but I'm too afraid to have a fire going like that. So we need to get some of those gas logs to put in there and run a gas line. Or we could invest in a generator....which meh, they are expensive.

My Aunt and uncle need an alternative heat source too. I know they stuck it out in their house last night. My Aunt just had hip surgery last week and during her surgery she had a heart attack. So they had to go in and give her a heart cath. She was suppose to stay at Three Rivers nursing home (to help with physical Therapy) but she decided to come home, cause honestly, I would have too. Having to share a room with someone and not having the proper bathroom area in the unit? Yeah, I don't blame her.

Wow, I'm so tired this morning. More then the usual. And I went to bed at pretty much a normal time. I've got to get up, get my hair fixed, get kiddo outta the bed, get her to school and get me to work. Yay... lovely work, I'll be working on Online Directories today. I guess the Newspaper has to roll with the change. Print is moving online. It's the way of the future. And is saves print costs. *Shrugs* I just wish that I was better trained for this sort of stuff. I was trained in graphic arts and print. Not programming and coding. It would make my day less of a hassle really.

This weekend, I got friendzzzz coming to my house. Yippy! XD We get to do more arts and plot on our Wicked characters and get started on the comic project. Art friends, that reminds me, I need to poke Cybre, to see if she wants to share half a table with me at AC. Those are due on the 7th. This year hopefully we can sit near Indigo Angel Cat and her friend.

OMG, I'm at work and I want to draw NOW! I hate it when this happens, cause I can hardly focus on anything else.

Does anyone have his email address? Since FA went down Monday I haven't go any way to contact him about his commission. I looked for him on Deviantart and I don't think he has a space there. He paid cash for his commission, so all I have is a mailing address.

How do people think of what to talk about in their journals daily? LOL. Not much has been going on lately other then the busy life.

Hmmmm, my cousin Nicole has been in the hospital since the Wednesday before last. She had got the flu and it triggered her TTP to flare up... which had put her in ICU, critical condition with her kidneys threatening to fail. At least this time wasn't a worse as her attack last year? Thats what she said anyways... lol... I think it's ALL bad. But anyways....my sis and I didn't get to see her until Saturday. She was looking all right. Her body has gained a lot of fluids from the stuffs they were doing. LOL... the silly girl, that was the only thing she was concerned about XD

Anyways, she explained her more about her TTP. Which there is only like 250 some people that have it in this country? And they've been getting a lot of blood from her...for testing... the most they have from any patient. What happens is her plasma thickens and her blood cells stick to it and her kidneys were having trouble filtering it. I think I got that right...at least that's how I understood it. There was this machine she was hooked up to, that took her blood/plasma from her and the machine would seprerate the blood from the plasma... her plasma would go into a bag and the then the donor plasma would mix with her blood and go back into her, through this port in her neck.

They said she might get out for Thanksgiving... which would be great. Her little girl, Brooklynn misses her. And omg, Brooklynn is getting so big XD She's 16 months.

Other things that have been going on.....Just some plotting for the comics, Anthrocon next year and a side project in the planning stages. This weeks comic pages will be up tonight. Last week, they just didn't happen... because of my worry for Nicole's health and family things that were going on. One thing that REALLY needs to be done is making a new website design. I want something different, but I'm not sure exactly how to create what I have in mind. I wish I knew a whole lot about html and code.

Well... guess I better get to work.

I need to update here more...I just don't always have anything to say.

I don't understand. The first of November people have started putting up Christmas Decorations? WTH? Why? What happened to Turkey Day? It hasn't even came yet @_@ The time and days move too fast as it is. I don't need to see Christmas lights now.

And since I'm going on about Holiday Decorations. I LOATHE those huge blow up holiday yard gag up and cluttering yard things. Seriously... ok, I thought the Reaper for Halloween was cool... so you can walk through it, up the sidewalk to get candy. But come on people....Some one had put up a huge gobbling turkey in their yard for Thanksgiving... and what will happen next, which seriously ALREADY HAS... those stupid blow up Christmas globes, blow up Santa and Reindeer, Ginormous Grinchs and yadda, yadda, yadda. Sometimes one yard will have 2 or more. Wonderful that they like to waste their money on yard junk like that.

What happened to classy like decorations... A nice fodder shock, hay, and pumpkins for Thanksgiving. And just Christmas lights and some little yard decorations here and there? Which I stick to just lights and the Christmas Tree. Heh, Guess I'm just boring.

In other news...I can't wait for this weekend XD I get to hang and art jam with a couple of my friends!!!! Though a 4 hour drive is ahead of me. Which makes me a little nervous. I don't usually drive to new places on my own. LOL.. I'm usually the navigator. So, Friday night, I'm going to bed early, so I can get up at 5am and hit the road XD

Anthrocon was great and we made it safely back home. I do plan on going again next year. And hopefully leave kiddo at home. So hubby and I won't have the parenting stress hanging with us X3

Work is work...blah... nothing new....move on...

This last Friday, I took Cass to the city pool. Just me and her. She had a blast in the kiddy pool XD She kept trying to splash me. Evil child. I took her to the big pool and held her in the 3 to 4 foot, trying to help her learn how to doggie paddle. LOL. she kicks her legs like crazy, but can't remember to paddle her arms. The pool wasn't crowded at all... which was surprising. After swimming for about two hours, we hung out at the park. She liked that.

We ended up in Rowan Co. this weekend...at our friends home, Matt and Cathy. Gah, we don't get to hang with them much. It was good to stay the night with them. They have been recording True Blood...so wewatched an episode.... so now ordered the first season on DVD. I'm a sucker of vampire shows...lol..sucker...

Anyways. Been getting Cass ready for Headstart. She's got a dental and eye appointment coming up on the 29th. I hope I get everything in on time @_@ That was the earliest her docs could take her. School starts August 6.

The comics will upload next Monday if all goes well. :3

Been working hard at work lately....which cause me to crash as soon as I get home. Which also in turn has caused me to have some wild dreams. I dreamed that I was a sword swallower at a freak show ..... I wonder where that came from? ::snorks:: Other dreams...are a bit fuzzy, I know I had them, but can't really remember what they were about.

I'm getting SUPER NERVOUS about Anthrocon. I'm mostly worried about not hearing people or understanding what they say to me. I don't have a hearing problem, I don't think XD But if people talk really fast or low....I don't understand a word O_O It happened once at MFM...A guy was talking and I felt so stupid asking him, huh?, huh? a million times -_-

I'm am a shy person....but don't worry, I won't freak out and hide if you talk to me X3 Oh GAWD, I just thought of all the stuff I have to do! PANIC! I need to make a poster with prices and more bookmarks. And buttons and plot other things. I'm not going to sell shirts and mugs like I wanted too, I just don't have the money. So, what will be for sale, comics, buttons, bookmarks, and prints.

I need to draw some new prints too. I want to draw alien ones, since the con is about aliens this year.

Hmmmm, I've been quiet and hiding lately. I apologize for that. I've been busy with home and family stuff. I helped my sister move into her new home....and then again, this last week, helped my in-laws pack and move into their new home.

House work....lots of house and yard work. We're still cleaning up the trees that had fallen around our property from the ice and wind storms. Rain, rain, rain.... so thankful we don't live where it floods anymore. Though, I feel for those people, that did get flooded though....it totally sucks.

The comics? I have failed in keeping up with them. The line art for NS is done, it just needs inked and colored. Starfire is going on hiatus. I don't have time. : P

Talked to my boss last week and got an ok to start working later on Thursday nights, so I don't have to work on Friday at all. Which is good...I can save money on a day of daycare and money from gas driving to and from work. It'll probably be next week before I can start doing that though.

Hmmm, that's about it for now. :3

okie, okie, okie.... I've been thinking about a lot of things. MAJOR things. I do love both my web comics....but I have to admit, I do love Nightshift more. The deal....I have been doing two comic stories, plus, mommy, wife, and 40 hour week job, for quite a while now. Kiddo is getting older, she wants to play outside more....hell, I want to play outside more X3 Baseball, fishing, camping, bike riding, trips and just places that I can't sit down and draw or take a laptop. I don't want to miss a thing with my daughter....I'm sure you all understand that.

So.... Starfire Agency is going on hiatus after I finish up, with the team getting out of Area 51. There are a few pages left of it. I'm NOT quitting it. It's just taking a break... probably for a few months...or... when I feel I can and want to get back to it.

I want to put more focus on Nightshift. My artwork, to me, has become sloppy from rushing my comics to meet a deadline. And I very much dislike that. There is another project I want to start as well.... a comic that goes along with Nightshift, but it focuses on Caje and Travis.... this comic will not be going online. Reason why...it's because I don't want to feel like I must be on a deadline. Also, I want it to be special. It may come out later online...but it will for sure be available for sell, whenever I get it finished.

I hate it when the comics go from "I WANT to draw this comic" to "I HAVE to draw this comic". I apologize to the fans of Starfire Agency in advance and will apologize again when the final page arrives.

And.. that's about it for now.

I have a big question to people who have sold comics at big conventions. Like Anthrocon. How many copies of each comic issue should I take to sell? Take in to granted that I'm not that well known yet. I'm going to take prints, buttons, bookmarks, and a couple of mugs and mouse pads. Anything else I should think about bringing?

I got out of the swing of things during those snow/ice/wind storms we had this last month. NOW time to get things back into order. Starting with my list.
